REPUBLICAN
MAIN STREET
PARTNERSHIP PAC ENDORSES MELISSA BROWN FOR CONGRESS
Washington
,
D.C.
– Calling her a “perfect fit” for
Pennsylvania
’s 13th Congressional District, the Republican Main
Street Partnership Political Action Committee today announced its endorsement of GOP
candidate Melissa Brown for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Brown
is running for the open seat vacated by Democratic Rep. Joe
Hoeffel, who is running for the U.S. Senate. A longtime resident
of the
Keystone
State
, Brown nearly defeated Hoeffel in 2002.
“Brown’s
candidacy provides Republicans with the opportunity to pick up a
seat that has been in the Democratic column,” said the RMSP PAC's Sarah Chamberlain Resnick. “The 13th
District is a true swing district – perfect ground to elect a
moderate Republican like Brown.”
“Brown’s
commitment to fiscal responsibility, quality education for all and
affordable health care makes her a perfect fit for
Pennsylvania
’s 13th District and the House of Representatives,”
Chamberlain Resnick added. “Her election to Congress would
strengthen the GOP majority and the centrist Republican voice in
Congress.”
