(Washington, D.C.) - Today, the Republican Main Street Partnership PAC, endorsed State Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) in the race to fill the seat vacated by the passing of former Senator Edward Kennedy. Sarah Chamberlain Resnick, a spokesperson for the RMSP PAC, released the following statement:
"On Tuesday, the people of Massachusetts have an opportunity to send a message to our political leaders in Washington. Scott Brown's election, in overwhelmingly Democratic Massachusetts, would be the clearest signal to date of the unhappiness of the American electorate with the direction of the Democratic led Congress and the Obama administration.
"We are hopeful that Scott Brown's election will be a wake-up call for Democrats in Washington. The American people deserve a Congress that is committed to finding pragmatic, common-sense solutions to the challenges facing our country - not one only interested in advancing a decidedly partisan political agenda.
"The Republican Main Street Partnership PAC is proud to endorse State Senator Scott Brown for U.S. Senate. He is the type of candidate, and has run the type of campaign, that united our party, attracted critical independent voters, and shown that Republicans can win in any state in this country."
