Main Street raises $100,000
By Jonathan E. Kaplan
The Republican Main Street
Partnership raised more than $100,000 last week for
three centrist GOP lawmakers.
The money comes as centrist
Republicans have thwarted the leadership's budget
cuts and its plans to extend tax cuts.
The money will benefit Reps. Jim
Kolbe (R-Ariz.), Jeb Bradley (N.H.) and Heather
Wilson (R-N.M.), said Ron Talley, the group's
spokesman.
Talley said the group also raised
more than $100,000 earlier this year for GOP Reps.
Jim Gerlach (Pa.), Rob Simmons (Conn.), Joe Schwarz
(Mich.) and Charlie Dent (Pa.).
