REPUBLICAN MAIN STREET PARTNERSHIP ENDORSES PROVEN CONGRESSWOMAN HEATHER WILSON

Washington, DC – Calling her a “proven commodity” and “a leader on national security issues,” The Republican Main Street Partnership announced today it will proudly support Congresswoman Heather Wilson in her re-election bid for New Mexico’s first congressional district.

“In this time of uncertainty, America needs proven commodities like Congresswoman Wilson.  She has the right temperament, training, and understanding of both national security and military operations to guide us through the current conflicts abroad,” said Executive Director Sarah Chamberlain Resnick.  “Congresswoman Wilson brings main street values and pragmatism to Congress.  She is a hardworking, issue-expert in foreign affairs, national security, education, and energy policy.”

Wilson served in the Air Force as an officer and then with the National Security Council.  She was the first female military veteran to serve in Congress.

“Wilson’s commitment to higher education, to security at home, and energy independence make her ideally suited to address the tough issues facing our nation,” Resnick said.  “Republican Main Street Partnership is proud to endorse Congresswoman Wilson and will work hard to see her re-elected this fall.”

New Mexico’s first congressional district includes Albuquerque and is home to Sandia National Laboratory, the University of New Mexico and Kirtland Air Force Base.

The Republican Main Street Partnership is a coalition of fiscally conservative Republicans who share mainstream Republican values.  Main Street’s membership includes over 60 U.S. representatives, U.S senators and governors.  For more information on Main Street, visit our website at www.republicanmainstreet.org
