New Hampshire Poll Shows Main Street endorsed former Rep. Jeb Bradley Leads Carol Shea-Porter
BRADLEY'S PRIMARY OPPONENT, JOHN STEPHEN,
TRAILS DEMOCRAT IN NOVEMBER
(Washington, DC) - New polling in New Hampshire shows that former Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-NH) is the GOP’s best choice to defeat first term Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH). “This poll confirms what we already knew – that Jeb Bradley is the Republican best situated to defeat liberal Carol Shea-Porter in November,” said Representative Tom Davis (R-VA), a member of the Board of Directors of the Main Street PAC.
The Main Street PAC, which has endorsed former Representative Bradley, is the largest centrist PAC in the nation – committed to electing candidates who are fiscally conservative and take a pragmatic, common-sense approach to social issues. The poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire, shows Bradley leading current Democratic Congressman Carol Shea-Porter by a six point margin – 45% to 39%. Bradley’s primary opponent, John Stephen, on the other hand, trails Shea-Porter in that same poll 43% to 35%.
“Jeb Bradley charted a centrist, independent way during his time in Congress and Carol Shea-Porter has unfortunately rejected that path,” continued Davis.
“If the Republican Party is going to rebuild its majority in Congress then we need to nominate candidates like Jeb Bradley who can and will win in November,” concluded Davis.
