Washington, DC – Today
the Republican Main Street Partnership Political
Action Committee (RMSP PAC) announced it will begin
airing a radio ad Friday that encourages voters in
North Carolina’s 10th District to support
Sandy Lyons in the July 20th Republican
primary.
“RMSP PAC is running
radio ads because Sandy Lyons is the best choice for
Republican voters in the 10th District,”
RMSP PAC spokeswoman Kerry Kantin said. “He
understands the values and concerns of North
Carolinians, such as creating new jobs and defending
the homeland. He would do an excellent job
representing the people of the 10th
District in the U.S. Congress”
The 60-second radio
spot depicts a conversation between a news show host
and a political commentator. The commentator
reviews the credentials of each of the four
candidates vying for the Republican nomination.
While critical of the other three candidates, the
commentator says that “Lyons is one of the most
qualified candidates we’ve ever seen. He has a
wealth of experience, moral character, a strong
vision for this region, and the leadership skills to
get things done. Sandy Lyons is by far the best
candidate.”
A complete transcript
of the ad is attached. It will air Friday, July 16;
Monday, July 19; and Tuesday, July 20. RMSP PAC
endorsed Lyons in June.

Transcript:
Female Host: This is an election update from the
Republican Main Street Partnership.
With the Congressional primary Tuesday, we’d like to
share our evaluation of the 10th District
GOP candidates. Let’s start with George Moretz.
Male Commentator: We disqualify Moretz because he’s
called for an increase in gas taxes … that’s the
last thing we need right now.
Host: How about Patrick McHenry?
Commentator: McHenry has potential, but he’s only
28. He needs a few years of real-world experience.
Host: And David Huffman?
Commentator: We’ve been troubled by Huffman’s
pattern of wild exaggerations. There are legitimate
questions whether he’s inflated his resume, and his
campaign finance reports also raise lots of
concerns. Our advice: Stay away from Huffman.
Host: That leaves Sandy Lyons.
Commentator: Lyons is one of the most qualified
candidates we’ve ever seen. He has a wealth of
experience, moral character, a strong vision for
this region, and the leadership skills to get things
done. Sandy Lyons is by far the best candidate.
Host: Thank you for those insights.
