Coulter Pens
Column
Claiming
"They Shot
the Wrong
Lincoln"
(Washington,
DC) - "Ann
Coulter, the
same radical
columnist
who attacked
the 9/11
widows as
‘harpies,’
is now going
after
Lincoln
Chafee,"
said Sarah
Chamberlain
Resnick,
head of the
RMSP PAC.
"The column
she penned
in support
of Steve
Laffey,
filled with
her usual
venom and
anger, is
nothing
short of
disgusting.
Sadly,
Coulter
should feel
right at
home
supporting
Steve Laffey
– she joins
a growing
chorus of
radical
voices
supporting
his
campaign."
Coulter’s
latest
column is
entitled
"They Shot
the Wrong
Lincoln."
"Someone
should ask
Steve Laffey
whether he
thinks
violence is
as funny
as Ann
Coulter
apparently
does,"
continued
Resnick.
"Coulter’s
really
outdone
herself this
time – she
manages to
mock the
assassination
of one of
America’s
greatest
Presidents,
while at the
same time
advocating
violence
against a
United
States
Senator."
Ann
Coulter is
no stranger
to
advocating
violence
against her
political
opponents –
Coulter has
previously
urged the
poisoning of
a Supreme
Court
Justice and
the bombing
of The New
York Times
building.
The
Coulter
attack
column is
filled with
the type of
angry
name-calling
that has
become her
calling
card. "Steve
Laffey
should be
absolutely
humiliated
that someone
like Ann
Coulter is
weighing in
on his
behalf,"
continued
Resnick.
"Quite
honestly, if
Ann Coulter
thinks you
are going to
represent
her values
in the
Senate, then
it’s clear
you aren’t
going to be
representing
the values
of average
Rhode Island
Republicans."
Ann
Coulter
joins a
growing
chorus of
radical
voices
supporting
Steve Laffey.
Laffey’s
campaign is
bankrolled
by the
ultra-right
wing Club
for Growth,
which is no
stranger to
the
outrageous
rhetoric
employed by
the Ann
Coulters of
the world.
The Club’s
President
once
described
seniors as,
"the most
selfish
group in
America,"
and went on
to say that,
"One of the
biggest
myths in
politics
today is
this idea
that
grandparents
care about
their
grandkids."
"The
Club for
Growth and
Ann Coulter
are two peas
in a pod –
both
represent
the absolute
worst in
American
politics
today. On
September 12th
the voters
in Rhode
Island will
have their
voices
heard. We
are
confident
that Rhode
Island
Republicans
will reject
the vicious
politics of
division
employed by
Ann Coulter
and the Club
for Growth
by voting
for Senator
Chafee,"
concluded
Resnick.
