a group of centrist Republicans will
campaign for GOP House candidate Larry
Diedrich on
Wednesday.
Deborah Pryce, the highest-ranking
Republican woman in the House of
Representatives, will speak at two
events for Diedrich.
Pryce belongs to the
Republican Main Street Partnership,
a group founded in 1998 "to serve as a
voice for centrist Republicans and to
partner with individuals, organizations
and institutions that share centrist
values," according to a statement on its

One of her jobs in the House is to track
how members will vote on issues and
rally members to support or defeat a
particular piece of legislation.

was diagnosed with cancer in 1998 and
died Sept. 4, 1999, at the age of 9.
Pryce and her husband later founded Hope

pediatric cancer research.
