rmsp pac endorses hamel for congress

Washington, DC – Calling him the right choice for the people of northern Maine, the Republican Main Street Partnership Political Action Committee today announced it is endorsing Brian Hamel, who is running for Maine’s Second Congressional District.

“Brian Hamel is ideally suited to represent Maine's Second Congressional District,” said RMSP PAC Advisory Board Member Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME). “He has the experience and determination to create jobs and economic growth in Maine.”

After the Loring Air Force base closed in the early 1990s, Hamel became CEO and President of the Loring Development Authority, an aviation and industrial complex and business park, and oversaw the development of the Loring Commerce Centre, where he oversaw the creation of over 1,000 jobs.

“As CEO of Loring Development Authority, Brian has a proven track record of strong leadership, an outstanding work ethic, and devotion to his entire community. Brian recently said that it is a 'myth' that nothing can be done to stop the hemorrhaging of jobs, families, and dreams in Northern Maine.  I believe that Brian will be a myth-buster,” Collins added. “Brian has the character and experience to provide strong leadership to Maine's 2nd District. I look forward to having him on our team in Washington, DC.”

A resident of Presque Isle, Maine, Hamel and his wife, Gail, are the parents of three daughters.
